As a part of the Butler County Federated Library System, the Evans City Public Library has a number of e-resources to meet your needs – from the comfort of your very own home.

POWER Library

POWER Library is the place to find trustworthy answers to questions about healthcare, consumer purchases, personal finances, and much more. Enjoy free 24/7 access to newspapers, magazines, journals, historical documents and photos, online databases, and eBooks. Research a subject. Learn about your family history. Repair your car. Locate a title. Explore career options. It’s all available at POWER Library. 

POWER Kids Library

POWER Kids Library This easy-to-use, graphically appealing search interface was designed especially for grades K - 8, helping these kids search on a broad range of subjects in a professionally selected collection of age-appropriate magazine & newspaper articles. Articles are assigned a Lexile rating to indicate reading level. There are also resources for teachers. Librarians (or teachers) may supplement the pre-selected resources with additional locally selected e-resources. Kids Search searches these resources:

  • American Heritage Dictionary

  • Image Collection

  • Middle Search Main Edition

  • Newspaper Source Plus

  • Primary Search Main Edition

  • Teacher Reference Center

Additionally, ConsumerReports.org features extensive health content from Consumer Reports Online Health, a trusted and unbiased source of information designed to help consumers navigate the health care labyrinth.

Patrons will need to access the link through their home library and enter their patron ID.

Want to read online instead of a physical book or magazine? Libby is an eResource full of digital copies of all sorts of reading materials! The app is free to use, all you need is a connection to the internet with some sort of device, a library card and that's all! You can download your books and magazines and read them on the go such as at Edco Park or Coffee Brake, or even at Zimmerman's Icecream! You can even read while at Cook Forest! Once you are on Libby, look up your card's library and login (Example: if your card says Apollo Memorial, then you want to select that library).
