The Evans City Public Library is part of the Butler County Federated Library System
In the event of inclement weather, the library follows the Seneca Valley School District announcements in alignment with our personal policy for safety. Two hour delays do not impact library operations; closures and remote learning will result in a library closure except in cases where the library otherwise deems safe conditions for opening.

About the event
Dr. Seuss is a well known author of countless children books, and to encourage reading in the younger generation, we like to celebrate Doctor Seuss Week annually! This week is centered around the first week of March, in honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday on March 2nd.
So, whether you celebrate by putting on some silly socks like a fox, or by joining the cat in donning a hat, be sure to also celebrate by reading a book in a cozy nook!
