About the event
Our neighbors to the West share the Lake Erie grape belt with us and have been making wine since the early 1800’s. Information will be presented about the history and geography of Ohio wines, where in Ohio wine grapes are grown, what varieties of grapes are used to make wine, and the different winemaking methods used. Included in the course will be information regarding wine labels, purchasing, proper service, and tasting of wine, including food and wine pairing.
The class will include a limited tasting of several wines with some selected small bites to accompany the wines including information on where they may be purchased.
