June 16: Butterfly Garden Walk and Scavenger Hunt

June 16th at 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Meet Miss Mickie at Moraine state park to learn about the native butterflies in our area and complete a fun interactive nature scavenger hunt!

Discover Moraine's exciting self-guided trail and learn about the area's native plants and butterflies, some of which are endangered species. Enjoy the pond, bridges, arbor, gazebo and boardwalk as you make your way along the trails. During your hike, look for signs and educational kiosks that explain what you are observing.

Grab and Go Steam Kits 

Bring home some family fun with our grab and go steam kits. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) 

Available June 28th and July 19th.

4-H Food and Farm Event 

Join us July 14 from 11-12 at the library for some farm animal fun with 4-H as we learn about farming and where are food comes from!

June 12th: Summer Reading Kick-off Party at Edco Park

Join us at EDCO Park for our summer reading kick off party Saturday, June 12th at 11:00 a.m. featuring Princess Elsa and Captain America! There will be games, a special performance from Elsa, and lunch will be provided!

Outdoor Family Movie Night: Live Action Aladdin

Join us for fun evening under the stars June 18th at 9:20 for an outdoor showing of Disney's live action Aladdin. Please bring your own chairs to set up in front of the library. Spots are first come, first serve. There will be movie snacks and drinks for purchase, and a basket raffle.​

June 30th: Living Treasures Field Trip

REGISTRATION REQUIRED: Join us as we explore Living Treasures Animal Park. The library has 55 passes available. First come first serve. One adult and children per family, more can come but will have to purchase passes ($7.99 a piece) at the park. We will be exploring the park from 10-1 please bring a packed lunch.

July 21st: Eco Investigations and Bird  at Jennings Environmental Center

Meet at Jennings Environmental Center at 11:00 a.m. July 21st to explore and compare the stream and wetland ecosystems. Discover all the living and non-living things that make up each ecosystem, and use real scientific tools to find evidence of their similarities and differences! Kids will be in the stream please dress appropriately! Please register for this event.
