ADULTS  

 

We’re not JUST books and multimedia at the Evans City Public Library – we also have some social programs tailored for adults of any age. We currently offer the following:

  • “Rather be Reading” Adult Book Club: Book Club meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m.  

 

  • Technology help: e-reader, ipad, nook, or tablet help. By appointment only.

CareerLink
  • The PA CareerLinks are one-stop offices providing an array of services on-site with staff from various state, federal, non-profit and other partner agencies. This link includes access to the Commonwealth Workforce Development System website.

Khan Academy
  • Khan Academy is a non-profit educational organization created in 2006 by educator Salman Khan to provide "a free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere." Their library of content covers math, science topics such as biology, chemistry, and physics, and even reaches into the humanities with playlists on finance and history.

PA Law Help
  • PALawHELP.org is a guide to legal information and free civil legal services for low-income persons and seniors in Pennsylvania. Here you can locate information on a variety of legal issues, as well as information on how to contact programs providing legal assistance in Pennsylvania. This includes basic eligibility and contact information for the programs proving free legal assistance in Pennsylvania.

Center for Community Resources, Inc.
  • The Center for Community Resources’ goal is to coordinate supportive services for individuals and families seeking information & referral for mental health, intellectual disabilities, substance abuse and other human service needs.

Federal Government Portal
  • USA.gov provides information on government agencies and services.

Butler County Census Information
  • This link provides demographic information for Butler County.

Pennsylvania Legal Forms
  • Included on this page are forms for filing civil complaints, private criminal complaints and notices of settlement when cases are privately resolved.

Social Security Administration
  • This site provides online access to the diverse services offered by the Social Security Administration. Example services include retirement insurance, disability insurance, prescription drug benefits, supplemental security income, and public assistance and welfare services, among others.
